About the conference

Timisoara Conference of Political Science 2018 intends to attract Romanian as well as foreign scholars dealing with politics and policies from a wide variety of perspectives. Besides political science, which is our main disciplinary focus, we are open to receive proposals coming from related fields such as philosophy, communication sciences, sociology, history, law, etc.

This year, we place a special emphasis on contributions focusing on novel methodological approaches, especially those related to network science. In this respect, we salute the contribution of Albert-Laszlo Barabasi, the world-wide most prominent scholar of the field.

The communication of politics and the politics of communication will be the subject of Sorin Matei Adam, an important Romanian-American sociologist of virtual communications. We will also have as main-speakers two experienced Romanian senior diplomats: Ambassador Dr. Teodor Baconschi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Bogdan Tataru-Cazaban, former Ambassador to Vatican and Presidential Counsellor.
